A fast-moving brush fire forced evacuations in Lake County as dry, windy conditions from Sunday's cold front fanned the flames — and disrupted rail travel across the state.

A brush fire has grown to 120 acres in Lake County, with three homes evacuated as firefighters worked to contain the blaze, WFTV reports. The cold front that swept through Sunday brought gusty north winds and low humidity — prime conditions for fire spread. Separately, Amtrak cancelled Florida train stops as fires impacted rail corridors, leaving passengers waiting hours for alternate transportation. Fox 35 reports the disruption is statewide.
